In 1980’s Los Angeles, the “world’s smallest professional basketball team” composed of recognizable-but-typecast actors finds itself the unlikely vanguard of a revolutionary movement to bring little people into the public eye as something other than objects of curiosity. World Premiere, SXSW 2016.

For the last couple years I've been photographing payphones. As a documentary filmmaker, I always viewed this effort as a potential documentary in the making. Indeed, it has become just that, but not in the way I was expecting. My Instagram channel @payphonesoflosangeles is the medium for this ongoing exploration of the rapidly disappearing public phone in Los Angeles. Created for the 2010 Doritos Crash the Super Bowl contest, this spot features the talent of Ed Callison and Daniel Messier. Shot in one day at White Horse Ranch in Landers, CA. with a crew of six and a Panasonic HMC150.

The fourth spot in a series of six web commercials for Torani flavored coffee syrups. Each spot features Allie and Alessandro, the affable, if sexually frustrated, hosts of "Café di Torani." In this episode Allesandro capitalizes on Allie's penchant for chocolate and the Italian language. Agency: OIC.

While I've edited many Hot Wheels broadcast spots as well as industrial sizzles, this piece can claim two firsts for me: it's the first Indiegogo video, and it's the first that I also shot (interviews and B-roll at Mattel headquarters). This was actually the first Indiegogo campaign ever put on by Hot Wheels, and it was a success. Agency: Good Kind of Crazy. Client: Mattel

I was brought on to shoot and edit a behind-the-scenes montage of a photo shoot for new brand artwork designed and executed by NEFT Creative Director, Paul Robinson. The completed artwork can be seen at the end of this video. Client: NEFT Vodka.

As a father myself, anything having to do with Father's Day I'm all about. So when I got a call to do a short video message from Houston Rocket Iman Shumpert to his daughter, Junie, I jumped on the chance. Combining Instagram videos dating back years with newly shot footage of Iman speaking directly to Junie (the beautiful words written by Iman himself!), the effect is touching. 280K views and a comment from Dwyane Wade, not too shabby either. Artist Howard Lazar (b. 1947) has been sculpting since the 1990s. His work can be seen at museums around the country, including the American Jazz Museum where five of his busts are in the permanent collection. His bust of American entertainer and activist Billy Barty was unveiled on July 21, 2018 at the Museum of the San Fernando Valley in Northridge, CA. This interview with the artist was recorded the same day.
